Jamesway's egg racks save money, save time, and save labour while increasing your hatch.
Jamesway's Farm/Incubator Racks provide a safe and efficient means of storing and transferring eggs prior to and during incubation. Eggs are first loaded onto the Farm Racks at the farm. The egg-filled racks are delivered to the hatchery, eliminating the need for manually transferring the eggs at this stage. Eggs can then be transferred directly from the Farm Racks to the Incubator Racks by simply lining up the columns of egg trays within the racks and sliding the trays from one rack to the other. The eggs are not handled directly, which means there is less chance of breakage.
Jamesway's new Farm/Incubator Rack features the same egg turning mechanism found on the Incubator Racks, plus an egg tray locking pin and reinforced bottom, allowing it to double as both Farm Rack and Incubator Rack. Eggs can be loaded onto the rack at the farm and remain in the same rack until the end of the incubation cycle.
All Farm/Incubator Racks are equipped with durable solid nylon wheels. The racks are also zinc electroplated, which prevents corrosion and allows for easier, more thorough cleaning. All Farm Racks are compatible with Jamesway Egg Flats.
Capacity:
The SST egg flat has a capacity of 84 eggs and can be loaded onto either three or six column pallets. The three column pallet has a capacity of 5,544 eggs and the six column pallet a capacity of 11,088 eggs. The SST egg flat is compatible with all Jamesway Farm Racks as well as the new Incubator/Farm Racks.
Design:
The flat is constructed from a special resilient polypropylene material that gently cushions eggs to protect against breakage. Tests show an average breakage percentage of only .5% - .35% (based on nine million eggs transported). The material is also highly intolerant to microorganisms, and easy to clean and disinfect, reducing the potential for disease.
